You want some comments on Flash? Okay, here ya go:
At last the new creative team has taken over from the previous team who monumentally botched the relaunch of the Flash title. So, how is the new team? Eh. Or, to be more precise, meh. If this is the team that's supposed to save the Flash title, well, don't count on Flash lasting too many more issues.
Yeah but, his willpower overrode his fear of what? I'm apparently being incredibly dense on this, but I'm missing what fear he overrode.
Hopefully somebody can help me come to one of those "Oh, that makes sense" moments.
The ring itself. My guess is that the new Sinestro rings that the weaponers have made don't suck up GL juice anymore, and are now completely powered by fear. Which, when you have so much willpower that you have no fear, like Batman, it's not going to happen. I think the ring detected that, and knew that he would be unsuitable.
It's also entirely possible that the "physical and psychological" stuff that they wanted to do to the new recruit had something to do with it. If they are intent on breaking people before building them up as Sinestro Corps members, then Batman would be a very unsuitable candidate.
But, I think we all understand why he was drafted in the first place.

That makes sense. It does fall in line pretty well with Amon's reaction to being taken away by the ring for "reconditioning." It also makes the Sinestro Corps even more of a mirror reflection of the GL Corpsmen who are chosed because they are without fear.
To be honest, I should really start posting my DC pulls on a weekly basis nowadays, because I pull an average of 7-8 DC titles each week, and I pull New Excalibur and anything Cosmic going on over at Marvel.
Anywho, about Flash....
It's still got a lot of promise, and I think they're going in the right direction with Bart.
The good and the bad.....
Good: Bart's now finally admitted that he's the fastest Flash, ever. The Speed Force pretty much exists inside him now, but he's afraid to use it to certain extremes, for fear that it'll kill him, or worse, tear a rip in the universe.
Also, Bart has a girlfriend, he has great ties with Jay, and he's not a punk kid. He may still be a 16 year old in an adult body, but he definitely intends to be exactly who and what Flash is. He's even moved to LA to take up the same identity Barry once had. He's very mature already for a Superhero, and evidently even the JLA has their eye on him as a result.
Bad: Has yet to take on a villain that isn't easily trivialized. Steppenwulf isn't a pushover, but he lost to Bart in a stupid way. And Inertia is just pathetic as a villain. It looks like this is going to end next issue, however, with Zoom coming on scene.
Also, he broke up with his girlfriend right at the beginning of this last issue. Pretty much because he railed on her for not being protective of his identity. And he brings up Sue Dibney, and she gets mad because she was just recently kidnapped by her father. And he apologizes, which was dumb. He had plenty of right to be angry. And while he made it a point that she could be victimized if his secret got out, the truth is that there is a LOT more people that could be victimized and hurt if his secret got out, NOT JUST HER. She was being selfish as hell, and he was apologizing. And it just pissed me off.
Anywho, I still like this book a great deal. I felt they drug out the Giffen story for far too long, as well as the Inertia story, and I'll be glad to see Flash finally step up to the big leagues and take on Zoom.
