Yes, I too hated "Civil War" it was physically painful to read. There are no words for the last page in Civil war #2.
That being said, here is the best and most hilarious civil war parody I have ever seen, it uses the art from the books and writes in different things for the speech bubbles and text. Be forewarned, there's kind of a lot of swearing.
Enjoy everyone, let's hope this helps us forget the real "Civil War"

He's currently starting a tongue-in-cheek campaign to get himself named as the new writer for Legion of Super-Heroes. Check out his LJ! He's a cool guy!
sorry, my bad, I just really loved the stuff you PM'd to me, and I wanted more people to enjoy it and hereby, albeit technically, enjoy all 7 volumes of civil war! I never thought the day would come when I could say you can enjoy all 7 volumes of civil war.

It's all good. He's also got a couple others... the Onslaught Reborn #1 is pretty nice. Just because... well, it's Liefeld, how could you not enjoy it?

Hey, this guy's stuff is just like my secret wars redux, available from the link in my sig! (Shameless plug) Except ofcourse he's not quite as great as me, obviously (pure ego to those who doubt, a mere statement of truth to those who agree, take your pick ).
Not to sound like a jerk, but, what exactly did you like about it? I didn't enjoy anything about it except a few panels of the art, and the part where Frank saves Spider-man from Jack o lantern and the trickster. I'd like to see another point of view.
I, for one, liked Civil War a lot. Civil War 1-7 don't hold up well as a mini-series, I admit, but the tie-ins did flesh it out rather well. I thought it was the greatest Marvel crossover since Secret Wars I. Compare it to House of Yawn. And I think it will stand up with time, too. Better than World War Hulk and the upcoming Ultimates universe crossover by far.
Mark my words: Steve Rogers will be replaced with Ultimate Steve Rogers. Bugger.
I do think this fellow's reworking is pretty hilarious, however. "Bub Bub Snikt", "Your beer is in the fridge, Logan. Just like always". Good stuff.

Not to be a jerk, but doesn't everyone have their own opinion.
Seriously, I liked it because it showed how Heroes would act when this kind of situation arises. Normally, when a threat would hit, the heroes would unite to stop the common foe. That's all fine and good. But, Civil War was an interior threat and the heroes actually had to choose what side. And there wasn't really a "Right" side, if you think about it. So we saw the two big guys in the Marvel Universe take different sides. We see the flaws in these characters, we see what makes them tick, we see who they really are. Sure, there were a few HUGE mistakes(Clor, Spiderman unmasking(But, I can live with this, adds a lot of stories), and so on.) And we saw both sides, not just one, point of view. Normally we would just see the good guys point of view, but in this situation, there isn't really a 'good' or 'bad'. Plus, I loved the second issue! Cap was a total BAMF.
Anyway, there was some bad, there was some good, and that's why I liked Civil War. And of course, this is just all IMO.

that's cool, I know everyone has their own opinions, that's why I asked to hear yours. I agree seeing an internal conflict was interesting, but I really wish they had portrayed tony and reed better, they were totally the villains of this series, and that wasn't how it was supposed to pan out. Using Ultron's programming to make a clone robot of thor? honestly reed, what the hell were you thinking, that's something a villains would do, cloning someone without their permission and using Ultron's programming, no less.
Hey I was just kidding about the opinions part(Well not really, but I wasn't saying it like you didn't think my opinion was right, or whatever you get it!)
I hate how Tony became the dirty old bastard he is now, but he and Reed did have a reason for what they did, everything but the friggin' Clor! That, like you said, was so ########.
