I read a comment in another forum about Hulk being able to throw an object if his charge is outwitted. Please excuse my ignorance, but I have never heard of this rule before. Can someone explain a few things please.... Firstly, how does this work? secondly does it only apply to giant characters? and finally how is the range determined if your character has 0 range. some advice would be much appreciated cos i just got hulk

Uh, outwitting Charge has no effect on whether or not Hulk can throw objects. Battle Fury is what prevents Hulk from throwing objects. If that power is removed (why your opponent would do that short of MC is beyond me) then Hulk can throw objects. Every character can make a ranged attack with objects. I believe the range is 4 spaces for a heavy and 6 spaces for a light. The wooden crate has a range of 8.
As for who this applies to, it's for anyone with Super Strength and no battle fury. Also, base contact rules still apply.
A character with super strength can throw objects. Heavy objects have a 4 range and do 3 damage, light objects can be thrown 6 spaces and do 2 damage. Of course there are special 3-D objects that can change this (the soda machine would do 4 damge when thrown and the crate can be thrown 8 spaces).
Edit: K-Ness is the speedier of the two of us!

Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.
Peers:
1. I had a sufficient response -you can keep yours if it isn't gonna be of any help
2. The whole point of having a forum where you can ask questions on the rules is - hold on - let me think - oh yeah to ask questions to other helpful people who would like to respond.
3. Before you quote something you might wanna think about reading up yourself first because there is nothing on the powers and abilities card about throwing objects.
Just wanted to point out that the rules for throwing objects can be found on page 37 of the LoSH rulebook:
Quote
Using Objects in a Ranged Combat Attack
A character with Super Strength can throw an object at
a single opposing character, as shown in Figure 21. To
throw an object, give the character a ranged combat
action, even if its range value is 0. Regardless of the
attacker’s range, light objects can be thrown 6 squares
and heavy objects can be thrown 4 squares. Regardless
of the attacker’s damage value, a successful ranged
combat attack with a light object deals 2 damage
and a successful ranged combat attack with a heavy
object deals 3 damage. A character holding an object
does not have to attack with the object when given a
ranged combat action.

1. His response is a helpful hint: read the rules
2. There is kind of an assumption that you have at least read the rules
3. You have him there. It is not on the PAC. It is the rules (there's that word again...)
