It gets rather annoying sometimes when you're picking figures for your team, and for example you pull out a Vet Bullseye, and your friend says, "Ooh you're fielding him, I'd better make my anti-Bullseye team then". So then he fields a team based on your team's weakness... then you try and do the same, and then the whole process just takes too darned long.
Something a friend and I have come accustomed to is fielding our teams, but keeping them concealed until we decide to start the game. I use my shoe-box lid and place my team behind it until we start. Sort of like a sealed-box tournament, but only you know what your team looks like.
It's fun when you start the game by saying, "Reveal your teams" and watch the others gasp in awe at the others' teams. My friends eyes lit up like light-bulbs when they saw I had fielded an Exp. Superman in a 400 point game.
Anyway, I reckon it's more fun to conceal your teams before you start, that way you can get straight in to it without your opponents changing their teams to counter yours. It makes you improvise with your team more. If you can win with a "weaker" team, then you deserve to win.
Anyone have any thoughts?
PS I'm rather enjoying the new look of HCRealms; it's like, more organised
We play 4 players - 2 teams (2 players to a team). You set up on your side of the board. However, we don't roll for teams until after we're set up. You could be in some serious trouble if you set up an Anti-whomever team and then rolled them up as your teammate And specific anti-whomever teams don't tend to hold up as well against non-whomever teams.
I know this is kinda off topic but Grinner, the smily face in your sigerture looks kind of weird because of the changes to the site.
(Like you haven't noticed.....)
