hey 11moon hows it going, sorry I begged the moderators to get this going since the area seems to have a substantial amount of clixers (how many on here I am not quite sure). Anyways I have never been to Graham Crackers, but Peoria has tournaments every saturday at 5 at Hobbytown and every other saturday at Just for Fun. If anyone is interested there is always a pretty decent turn out.
See ya around
Never take life to seriously, you'll never get out alive.
From what Smitty told me, the guy who ran the board isn't interested enough to continue and let it go. Too bad to lose all that "history" ... Do you know what the stips are for next Monday at Crackers?
Any of you guys know castelli who is the Envoy for Dizzy Dugout in Collinsville? If so, please tell him to contact bigkahuna83 ASAP ref the SN prerelease that he is supposed to be running this Saturday!!
Anyone know of a group in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago? I haven't played since the winter, and have missed both NGNs for Sinister (which now my local store doesn't sell clix anymore) and Supernova. I'm in Orland Park. I'd like to make it out to Sleeping Dragon a bit more, but was wondering if there are even players in nearby towns.
I also run an email group that I would be happy to expand. It's , and anyone interested in joining should email me : .
Right now it's the main vein of communication for core players at Dark Tower Comics in Chicago, and soon, Evil Squirrel (new venue starting events on Tuesday nights).

Igashu helped me & bigkahuna83 out about my inquiry so consider it solved.

This year marks the 5th anniversary of Heroclix and we're geared up to start the year right with a great day of gaming planned for this years event. In the past, we've run your normal tournaments with a twist. This year, we're turning it up a notch.
One issue that we, as organizers, always had is that people love to make road trips. This allows you to meet and play against players that you may not normally get the chance to interact with. However, there is always a possibility that you may eventually get paired against someone you came with. We wracked our brains for a way to combat this and have come up with a fun event.
Announcing the first ever Clix For the Cure KO and Keep - Help Diamond Lil Fight Breast Cancer.
There was a story in Alpha Flight detailing Diamond Lil's battle with breast cancer. We've decided to use this story as the focus for our event this year. Heroes and villains from all over the universe are joining her in an outwardly battle symbolizing her internal struggle. A dastardly cabal (Myself, Groovyboy, and a few unnamed others) have assembled a group of super powered individuals and warped them to do their bidding. They must be stopped at all cost.
Every participant will receive a booster of Supernova. They will also receive an Exp Diamond Lil (if you have your own, bring her; if not, we've been amassing a gaggle of them). Each player will play these five figures AND two figures of their choice!!
Think Superman needs to join the battle? Bring him!
Want to see Captain Marvel win a battle against cancer? Bring him!!
Here's the catch - we're playing highlander rules with these two figures. We want to see as many different heroes joining this battle as possible. As such, players are going to be rolling off to see who gets first pick of their figures (and then do a reverse snake draft for the second pick). As such, players may want to bring quite a few of their favorites to ensure they have a large pool to select from. For the purposes of this event, we will allow characters that appear in different sets to play alongside one another: Silver Surfer from Critical Mass and Silver Surfer from Supernova are fine, but R Silver Surfer and E Silver Surfer from SN are not allowed to team up.
The only figures not legal for this event are: Galactus, Spectre, Dark Phoenix, Phoenix, Sentinel, Advanced Sentinel and Sinestro. The only Feats allowed will be the feats a player pulls from his Supernova booster. No BFC allowed.
But what about the prizes, right? Well, there will be tons of LEs and Mail ways out on the board for players to attempt to KO. If you are the player to KO the figure, you walk home with it. There will also be many great figures from Supernova - including all 12 Uniques, Vet Thor, Vet Vision, Vet Surfer... Let's put it this way - if you need a figure here or there to finish up your SN set, it will likely be out there to KO (and keep!).
"How's this possible?", you ask. Well, the owner of Gryfallia's Aerie has graciously donated TWO cases of Supernova for this event. One sealed case will be used for the participant's boosters, the other case has been opened and almost all of the contents will be used for the Forces of Evil (no, there was not a Zombie in that case...).
This promises to be a fantastic day of gaming. We'll also be having cash raffles for some special, mystery prizes that will be announced later. Remember - every single dollar you give goes straight to the charity. The $10 entry fees, $$ for the raffles, everything. Of course, you can always show your appreciation to the venue by deciding to purchase other merchandise (Ken has a large selection of games to choose from) as a way of thanking them.
If you can come, great!! If not, I'm still looking to amass more E Diamond Lil's. PM me if you want to help in this manner!![/
