Can you pull an object out from under an opposing character? For example I charge at your fig and as I enter the square adjacent to you I grab the object and hit you with it.
In the old days this was ok (at least we all thought it was) but now I am hearing from players that this is no longer the case. No one can show me a rules change and I can't find any info in the FAQs.
You can pick up an object a character is standing on, but not one that a character is currently carrying (by using Super Strength). Basically, if the character is physically on it and they don't have Super Strength then you can pick it up.
Many people use this tactic to get line of fire to a character who is Stealthed on top of an object.
Tell them to look at the first paragraph of page 37 in the Legion of Super Heroes rulebook. The answer is there.

The only requirement (other than Super Strength, of course ) to pick up an object is that the character needs to be moving.
So, unless your Super Strength character has some way to ignore opposing characters while moving (flight, HSS, L/C, etc) you can't move up to an opposing character and take an object out from under that character all in one turn; becoming adjacent to the opposing character forces your character to stop moving. However, nothing would prevent said character from breaking away on a later turn (and taking that object with him as he goes).
Just thought I'd put that out there since Speedster's answer made it sound like anyone could walk right on up and grab the object. His answer is correct, though, assuming it is a flying/HSS/Phasing/etc character.

You can only do this if you have some way of not stopping when you are adjacent to another character. So Flight, Transporter Move/attack, or a Special Power that's letting you use Charge with another power like Phasing or Leap/Climb or HSS.
On a normal Charge you have to be a flier or be using Transporter move/attack. Otherwise you Stop movement as soon as you enter the square adjacent to an opposing fig. And then you cannot grab the object as you must pick up an object during the move.
