One candidate would be Shazam(r) since it's possible, with enough endurance tokens,to land on his "happy click/Hypersonic with Outwit" if he fails his endurance check. Other figures that come to mind would be Hulk figures that get better stats when damaged. What are your thoughts about this?
Apocalypse with his flurry/SE or any figure with lots of regeneration and Auto-Regen, so they can recover from the damage somewhat. Lobo, for instance.

Most of the older Hulks would be helped, I would assume. I guess it all depends on how many counters are on the card at the time! Oooh, also any Swamp Thing with Armor Piercing and Nanobots!!!
One character it would not help, Paste Pot Pete...

Sure doesn't help Ultimates U Hulk when he's actually on his beauty click... 13 AV, 6 damage. Had that happen to me 3 times recently. I've noticed it really matters whether the roll fails on a 1 or 2. One extra click in addition to the tokens can generally be handled. That's 2 or 3 clicks at worst, to what I have seen. When you land two clicks before even taking the tokens into consideration, then it's bad news. That's generally enough to knock any late-dial strong fig past their second wind into the wimp zone, if not KO them outright. Endurance is still a nifty feat, though; a personal favorite of mine, given my proclivity for melee bruisers.

Very true that the average is usually 2 or 3 clicks, sadly though in one of the Starro Events my Guy Gardner took 6 (4 tokens and a roll of 2) and lost me the game.....but before that I had made 7 or 8 endurence rolls in a row without taking damage. Quite a fun night, just having Guy tearing S-it apart without regard for pushing damage.

Éveryone seems to get their feeling hurt by the sting of the failed Endurance roll, but at the same time seems to neglect the additional carnage that is being wrought by thier top-of-the-dial beatstick not having to click its dial for pushing damage two or three times each game!
Having used it once or twice in sealed, I think that Endurance has a well more than balanced drawback for its potential benefit.
