All Star Batman & Robin the Boy Wonder # 8 - I know I know no one likes this series but me it seems (dodging wadded up paper). The Joker leaves his mark in this issue and Robin FINALLY get's into costume.... well kinda but all in all I love this series. Sorry if no one else does.
Well Spoiler's death due to Leslie Tompkins was the most out of character and generally stupid thing done in a long time. A retcon that let's us undo the ruination of Leslie Tompkins' character is going to be more well received that the resurrection of character so annoying that fans voted to kill him the 1st time.
Tarnish
I don't even care about Dr Tompkin's char, just Spoiler's.
Well, you're right about Jason Todd. He was, and probably will still be annoying.
GLC #18 - Rated 8 - Ion vs Prime. We get a bit of a history lesson of Yat (aka Ion). How he came to leave his planet etc. Mostly the book is one long slug fest. Great stuff. Oh yea Prime wins that fight.
I really enjoyed this issue. The background on Sodam was nice and helped flesh out the character quite a bit. Sodam is still learning the abilities he has on a yellow sun planet, as well as the weaknesses. He's also learning how to harness the abilities of Ion. I think he is beaten for two main reasons: Prime is much more comfortable with his powers, and Prime is certainly more ruthless.
The fight scenes were awesome, but that's what I've come to expect from this art team of Gleason/Rollins. They are truly one of the underappreciated teams working in the industry right now.
Sure, when Superman punches reality and brings Jason back, boohiis, but when its Spoiler, Herah!
"teh boohiis" might have something to do with the fact that Todd's death was a well publicized ordeal with a public vote - where fans PAID for a resolution they wanted - kind of a "choose your own adventure."
By bringing Todd back they kind of wrote off the importance of the characters death, not to mention undermined any future potential "choose Your Own Adventure" style storylines.
Had fans paid for Spoiler to die - then, yes - "boohiis." As it is, I'm glad she's back.

This so needs to happen. It made the whole Leslie Tompkins thing so wierd and Steph was too fun to just bump off like that. For once, I will actually say it. If this is really Steph, God bless retcons.
Plus it'd get all the women comic book fans off Didos back for not having a "Spoiler" case.

Countdown to Adventure was good as usual. We find out that Ray is building an army like Monarch, which explains the marks everyone has had with the Atom symbol(Or did we already find this out?)
Hell, Countdown has sucked. The only good thing is the "Search for Ray Palmer" and "Countdown to Adventure".
