I heard from a reliable source the following.

If I push my Con Artist and she gains Perplex, I can't use it to next round.


My reliable source is actually my only source for this rule that powers attained during a round can't be used till next round. Is this true?

Also, can you use perplex while healing? Not on the amount healed but while healing? It came up last weekend.

Well your reliable source is wrong.

Example Invulnerability some one attacks you and damages you. YOu get Toughness. So you cant use Toughness? Wrong you can use it.

'Tis not.

Perplex does not require an action or a token, and can even be used when you have two action tokens already. As long as the 10 square/LoF requirements are met you can use Perplex at any time on your own turn.

The only restriction on powers is for those that require actions to be given, since you can only give someone a single action each turn. Outwit, PC, and Perplex are "freebies" and thus not subject to this restriction.

However, you cannot Perplex either the healer or the healed, because the wording for Support "ignores all modifiers to the close combat attack". This includes upping the medic's attack AND lowering the target's Def.
