Tonight I played a theme, my opponent did not. We revealed battlefields, I played krakoa he played ordinary day. I chose to ignore ordinary day. I believed at the time that this would allow me to roll against his team, giving him the damage or action tokens.
The judge of the venue argued that because the opponent Ordinary day's the BFC it was 100% cancelled for him and I could not krakoa him, as he could not be effected because technically it wasn't in effect for him. whether or not I had ignored Ordinary Day.
Who was correct? Me or the Judge?

I cannot imagine a better legacy for my cousin.
If you chose to ignore ordinary day then you would be the only one effected by Krakoa. Probably not the best move, I'd wager.

"No. Because it's just too obvious."

It will help you get a correct answer if you quote what you're talking about. Wording is important to get accurate rulings.

First, let's review Krakoa.
At the end of your turn, you get to choose an opposing character adjacent to unoccupied hindering/blocking/elevated terrain and make an attack roll against it.
At the end of your opponent's turn, (s)he gets to choose one of your characters adjacent to unoccupied hindering/blocking/elevated terrain and make an attack roll against it.
Your opponent plays Ordinary Day to cancel Krakoa. Okay, so treat Krakoa as if it was never played. Now, you choose to ignore Ordinary Day.

You treat the Ordinary Day as if it didn't exist or happen. At the end of your turn, you would get to make an attack roll as per the conditions of Krakoa. Krakoa is canceled for your opponent so he would not.
whoops, well looks like I was proven wrong! Thanks for setting us all straight!
