What about armor piercing? would that work to make sure that someones damage still does damage, and what about armor wars the BFC?
IIRC you must do a minimum of 1 damage for either card to work. If your damage value has been modified to 0 - then no damage was dealt, and therefore no damage was reduced.

Zombie Wolverine + AP is my favorite "Fastball" to use. He's damaged onto his first Steal Energy click after being thrown; when he follows up with an attack, if he can roll high enough to hit, the AP goes through, and he heals to his first click (w/BCF + WP and 11 AV). If not, his CR kick in and boost his DV to 18 up close.
Just make sure you're targeting a grounded character with no Outwit.
Why? Because when an attack is made with Meteorite, you use the unmodified damage value of the figure. This means the -2 DV is ignored. So add a figure with Super Strength and a good AV, and go to town. After a quick search, two possibilies emerged:
Power Princess - on click 2 she has an 11 AV, and a 4 damage, meaning she may pound some poor soul for 7 clicks with a 9 AV. Oh, and that damage can't be reduced.
Ultra Boy - on click 2, he keeps SS, still has Imp, has an 11 AV, a 3 damage, but also.. flurry. ;-) So take a chance on a possible 6 unreducable damage with a 1 damage follow up with a 9 AV. Well, you never know, it could help. Or take a swing at a different adjacent figure.
Young Superman - Has only a 10 AV, but keeps a good DV, and has 4 damage. Is only 100 points, so fitting a PCer or some perplex on the team may be possible.
11. Dirty Tricks
Pick a character like Blue Beetle who has Super Strength on his first click. Have him pick up a special object - like an Aerial Baffler or Shield Disruptor. When Colossus "Fastball Specials" Blue Beetle, Beetle will:
* Take a click of damage thereby...
* pushing off of Super Strength.
* BB will then drop the object, and any special abilities the object has will immediately go into effect.
Fliers will drop from the skies, damage reduction powers will be countered, etc. This trick is especially dirty if you pack a Laser Turret and drop onto it to fire for a second attack.
Can you drop an item into the same square(laser turrent) you are standing if you lose super strength? I thought the object had to be placed into an adjacent square.

Also .. I think that they should account for the fact that if the person thrown has a damage reducer they should not take a clix. But then again if so I could see so many ways to abuse this ... Supes carries Colossus then next turn Colossus throws Supes into battle.
Also I seem to remember seeing the fastball special being used to position also teammates. Colossus threw Kitty Pride while in murder world once to get her inside a building while he fought his way inside. Be nice if you could use it that way also.
Either way cant wait to use him ......
So if Colossus has AP on him and he throws rampaging hulk at Superman.. superman would automatically take one despite his imprevious ...correct ?

What's the interaction between FBS and Poor Teamwork? Looking at Option 3 of Tk on the PAC, it looks like the TK'er isn't actually targeting the object (targeting the opposing character instead), so am I correct in assuming that you can still FBS characters when playing Poor Teamwork?
This has been covered in the Rules forum, but I may as well post it here as well: Poor Teamwork only stops characters that have Telekinesis. Colossus can use Telekinesis - not the same thing, so he is not affected.
The same issue came up with Mandarin, and it was ruled he could keep using his TK to move friendly characters with Poor Teamwork in play.

Correct.

No, the object has to be placed in the square you occupy, not an adjacent square.

I love your format and wish more people would adopt it. I especially like how you seperated out restricted and unrestricted. I tend not to play with the retired pieces and I don't always remember who is in what set so I will see a write up and then search for the character just to find out they are in a "retired" set.
Good wright up for what I believe is a worthless power, makes me almost want to try it just for fun.
So far the most fun I've had with Colossus is expensive but brutal. Omega Red and Colossus both with Armor Piercing, Swingline on Omega Red and Unstoppable on Colossus........now looking forward to tossing in a decent Outsider to finish it off.........great for unrestricted big point games.

It all looks right. Meteorite clearly states that you use the figure's unmodified damage value and you add 1d6-2 to it (minimum of 1, maximum of 3 due to the Rule of Three). Additionally that damage cannot be reduced based on the object text. Remember though, you can only place one Meteorite as it is a special object and follows all of those rules. But it could be nasty once per game.

I believe you can only use ONE Blue - ringed special object. Everything else can be substituted at will (Aerial Bafflers, Tombstones, Stepladders, etc.)

I could be wrong, but it is my understanding that all special objects are "unique" in that you can only place one of them per game. Blue-ringed objects are even more restricted in that you can only have one per 300 points of build total (and still only one of an individual blue-ring object, but that only matters in large games). You can have multiple yellow or red ringed (or 3-D) objects, but only one of each. So one Generator, one Dumpster, one Meteorite, one Tombstone, one Fuel Tank, etc..
I just confirmed it in the Legion starter rule book. You can place 3 total special objects (which are 3-D or cardboard) per game. Only one of any type. Blues are "immobile" and only one per 300 points. Page 35 in the book.
