1) Mockingbird is on the Laser Turret and targets HOM Wolvie. She rolls a Crit-Hit and he uses Potected.
Question: Does Wolvie now ignore the damage (3 clicks) AND the Knockback?
2) Colossus is 5 squares away from Patriot and he Uses fastball special to TK Ragman (E) at Patriot. What is to say that Ragman cannot be placed right back in the Square adjacent to Colossus following the attack? (after taking 2 clicks of course)
Protected ignores the damage from any single action. Since the knockback is based on the damage from the attack, the knockback is ignored as well since the character didn't take any damage from the attack.
Are you saying you want to TK Ragman then give him a move action to get him back to Colossus? If you can break away (unless you're on the Leap/Climb clicks) then I don't see anything stopping you from doing that.

No, I am saying I used Ragman as a Projectile at Patriot. The WP description of Fastball Special isn't "Rock-Soild clear" on weather or not the throwee has to be placed next to the target. What is to say Rags Bounced off Patriot so hard that he ricocheted back to Colossus?

I would imagine the part of the power description that says "place (the thrown character) in the square nearest to the target to which Colossus has a clear line of fire." That seems pretty clear to me: the thrown guy sits next to the guy he was thrown at. The description even tells you what to do if that's not a possibility.
I seriously cannot figure out how this isn't clear. If you need more help, can you quote the part that you feel is ambiguous?

As Whiz Kid said, look at the text for the power:

After the attack is resolved, modify the character's attack value and damage value by -2 until the end of the turn, deal it 1 unavoidable damage, and place it in the square nearest to the target to which Colossus has a clear line of fire. If the square is not adjacent to the target, deal the character 1 additional unavoidable damage.
I think you feel there is something optional about the placement, but it clearly states that the fastball is placed in the 'square nearest to the target to which Colossus has a clear LoF'. This allows a degree of latitude in situations where Colossus has a limited LoF or where the target that has no open adjacent squares that Colossus has a LoF to, and the bold red text only applies when the figure can not be placed adjacent to the target and is not in anyway an option you can arbitrarily choose to use.
Of course, I didn't say anything that Whiz Kid didn't, but sometimes repetition helps...
