The Ragman continued his assault on Faust. The two were burning each other out at an alarming pace. Suddenly Rory felt the mage weaken somewhat and took the opportunity. The rags began to hiss as they absorbed the life essence from their prey.

The sorcerer's face drew back in horror.

"I didn't spend all those Millennia imprisoned just to end up like this!" he screamed.

There was a flash of light an instant later only the Ragman remained. A whiff of smoke wafted from the new scrap of cloth on his patchwork costume of damned souls.

Raven let out a scream of anguish as the shadow force tore at her skin. The empathic nature of her powers send the same wave of pain and fear over the other Night Force member. As a whole, as if not of their own will, they converged on Krakull, tearing and flailing instinctively at the incorporeal form.

The Shadow master laughed as his opponents fumbled helplessly looking for a way to harm him.

As he had in London, Etrigan opened his maw and Hellfire poured forth. The licks of flame like angry swarming insects, encircled Krakul's shadowy form.

Surprised, the shadowy figure, threw its hands up in defense and instinctively fled the light of the demonic fire.
