"You're a pretty tough customer," US Agent told Hawkman, "but I can keep this up all day if I have to." He bashed Hawkman once again with his shield, sending him right into Gargoyle's reach.

"Howdy friend," he said, throwing a punch of his own. "Guess what? This wiry little frame's a lot stronger than it looks."

"Hawkman's still up, but only barely," Mr. Terrific said. "We need to help him."

"You will be needing help yourself presently," Starhawk said, flying from the building, concussive blasts firing. Mr. Terrific's olympic agility enabled him to dodge the attacks.

"They're getting desperate now," Terrific pointed out. "That's good. Must mean they're scared."

"Not scared," Skymax said, riding in on a platform created by Dr. Spectrum, "just aware that against you lot we're going to have to give our all." He delivered a super strong punch to Captain Marvel's jaw.

"Then I hate to burst your bubble," Marvel said, unfazed by the blow, "but if that's your all, it's just not going to be good enough."

Wildcat charges to F18 to attack Starhawk. Needs 5, rolls 4. Jakeem rerolls 8. Gargoyle rerolls a 5. 3 to Starhawk and his outwit is done.

Shazam on Skymax. Needs 7, rolls 8. SS is 1. 4 to Skymax.

Jade rolls to attack Skymax. Rolls 4 for shape change so she can attack. Needs 8, rolls 6. Worthy try...

"Hold him still Wildcat, I'll help you out," Stargirl says adding her might against the titan. The combined effort is enough to take him out.

"We're doing well, Michael," Dr. Mid-Nite starts but then counters himself, "But I suppose we shouldn't get too confident just yet."

"Agreed," Mr. Terrific replies.

Literally only one thing I can do, since everyone else pushed last turn. Spectrum will push to RS to H15 to see if he can take down Hawkman before he regenerates again. AV9 on DV14. Should be easy, but I'm not taking anything as a given this game. Gets a 6. Rerolls for Jakeem and gets 8. Hawkman is KOd.

"You seem to have a preference for maces; let's see how you like this one," Dr. Spectrum observed, creating a giant rainbow-colored spiked ball which he slammed Hawkman with. It was the final straw for the winged wonder. He was down.

"Well at least we got one of 'em," Gargoyle said, trying to stay upbeat.

Hmmmm....not to be overly confident but I went from hoping to break Surfer to hoping to win to hoping for a total shut out. So much for that...actually figured this would be an easy win for the Defenders but I have had some good die rolls here.

Jakeem vs. Skymax. First he rolls for shape change: 2. Ok...now he needs an 8, thrice, 3, 9, 4.

Avenger vs. Skymax. Shape change: 1. Needs 8, rolls 5.

Terrific on Skymax. Shape change is 6. Nope...

Wildcat pushes to E19 to attack USAgent. Needs 5, rolls 8 (NOW I get the 8). USAgent gets 2 after toughness, 1 to Wildcat.

"You guys are pretty good, Hawkman is not an easy one to take down," Wildcat says as he jumps USAgent.

USAgent is ready for him and turns and hits him with a glancing blow of his shield. "You're right, we ARE pretty good."

Wildcat rolls with the hit and counters with a greater one, "Bet you are. Sad thing for you is we're not gonna get ta find out."

USAgent stands reeling from the attack. "Geez, you really ARE a wildcat. Pretty tough for an old man," he says trying to dismiss him.

"Guess so. And you're a pretty easy mark for any age."

It's hard not to love Wildcat. Glad he's so worthy a figure, too.

SHould have done this last turn, but I hadn't bothered to look at Skymax's dial since he was pushed an couldn't move. Jakeem takes a click of Poison. Of course that ups him to 19DV with Defend. Not really a great thing.

Skymax on Jade, AV9 on DV16. Gets 5.

US Agent on Wildcat. AV9 on DV15. Gets 12. Jakeem's off his PC click, so that'll stick. Wildcat takes 2 after Toughness and KB to D18

Gargoyle on Crimson Avenger, AV9 on DV16. Gets 10. She takes 2.

Outnumbered and outgunned, there's not much point going on with this one.

The JSA will move on to face the winner of the Avengers/Brotherhood game in the finals.

Hmmmm, probably not. I'm quite surprised here but liked I'd said before, kind of glad.

What with the holidays I probably won't post as much through Christmas day, when I get back home. I'll think about the Year Without Avengers after that, until then I'll post what I can to the My Team and WOTU games, they're the easiest for me to play.
