While everyone is talking about Arch-enemies, I have a question. Does anybody know of a location where all the pieces that have arch-enemies, and who there arch-enemies are, is? Or could somebody please list for me the pieces with colored bases and their arch-enemies?
The reason I ask is because i'm color-blind and have a really difficult time trying to figure out which pieces are arch-enemies. Some are easy just cuz I know a little about comic books. But some I'm clueless.
If you guys can fill in any I missed, we can help out FishmanLT...

I'm having serious memory issues today - my 3 month old had me up most of the night... Hope that helps a bit, FishmanLT... There was a thread you could search for around here, I haven't seen it in a while. It was called "heroclix for the colorblind". I'll admit, I have trouble seeing when V Mandarin goes from Energy Shield to Barrier (the whole green/blue thing tricks me...)
As per the Official HC Rulings and clarification (April 2003)
"A force can consist of two or more of the same character. The only exception is that only one Unique of any given character can be chosen for the force..."
That clearly states that you could only use one Spiderman unique. Regardless of the color of his ring... That would allow for Unique Hulk and Mister Fixit . Elektra Unique (Infinity Challenge) could team up with Elektra unique (Explosion)but could team up with Elektra Natchios (Limited Edition).
Might I suggest the HCBattleplanner program to you. It is a comprehensive army builder/inventory keeper. It has all figures AE listed as well as showing the complete dials of all fig. And when you hover over a colored sqare it has a small popup that has the FAQ poer name and description. A friend of mine is also color blind and he has found the hover/popup feature most helpfull. The program is free and available at

You will have to join yahoo groups but thats free as well. They also have similar programs for MW and MageKNight if you play.
I don't think that's right Lunatik...the whole figure is what matters, including the dial. Since none of the uniques of the same people have the exact same dial, you can use them together. Otherwise you couldn't use OWAW Superman and the Unique Superman on the same team, since they both say Superman on the dial.
On a side note, you can't play Aquaman and Arthur Curry on the same team, since he is his own Arch-Enemy.
Ahh, they must have changed that...I remember awhile back (when OWAW Supes came out) they said you could play him and the unique at the same time. They got it from the rulebook or the qwik-start rules. Somewhere in there it DOES say something about the dial being important.
Found it. DC Rulebook, page 4....at the top..." A DC Heroclix character is made up of three main parts: the figure, the base, and the combat dial."
I don't have the Marvel Rulebook handy, but it probably says something to that effect.
I fail to see how the statement "Dial content means nothing." is true. The quote about not being allowed two Uniques of the same character doesn't say that. If that's what they mean, so be it, but they need to come out and say that all that matters now is the Unique (or LE) ring and the name of the figure.
A force can consist of two or more of the same character. The only exception to this is that only one Unique of any given character can be chosen for a force. A Unique figure may be teamed-up with non-Unique figures with the same name. Two players may have the same figures in their force, including Uniques. A Unique figure has a silver experience ring.
and
Limited Edition figures are Unique. You may have multiple unique characters on the same team as long as they don’t have the same name. So, for example, you could play Spiderman and an L.E. Peter Parker on the same team.
So the Wizard LE's Superman and Wolverine cannot be played on the same team as any Unique Wolverine or Superman.
