I've been a huge fan of Black Adam since I read about him in the JSA comics and was glad to see him appear in 52. I would realy like to read more comics with him in them, is there anywhere else he shows up at after the 52 series?
You should pick up the last 5 issues of the Black Adam mini series, it's pretty cool so far, it tells of the lengths that Adam goes to so that he can revive Isis, but I dunno how it ends yet!
There's not much of him in the 1940's. He appeared in one comic story ever and then he died. The end.
In the 1970s, Dr. Sivana brought him back so he could have more of a recurring role, but that's mostly irrelevant as the 1940's and 1970's stuff are not in continuity.
Basically, after the events of "52", Black Adam appears in a miniseries entitled "Black Adam" (which is not concluded yet), and after that, he appears in Countdown briefly to give power to a depowered Mary Marvel. Since then, he has not been seen, afaik.
If you liked Black Adam in 52, then you should pick up the recently released trade paperback "WW III". It basically goes over the battle that Black Adam has with the Doom Patrol, JSA, Marvels and The Great Ten after the death of Isis at the hands of Death of the Four Horsemen. I'm not sure if WW III is a total re-hash of the 52 events but I enjoyed it. Happy reading.
Thanks,
Proverbs 3:5,6 Arkham Knight Clix - Oh Yeah, there coming!!
There's an oldish JSA trade called "Black Reign" (with its sequel Black Vengeance) about Black Adam, Atom Smasher, Eclipso and Brainwave taking Khandaq by force. It's how he came into power. Best Black Adam story I've ever read, and I love Black Adam. I'd like to check out that old school 40's thing. Is that in a collection somewhere?

I'm not sure, but I think a few years ago there was a release by DC of the Fawcett run of Captain Marvel comics. Black Adam's story should've been in there.
This wasn't the "Showcase" book (volume one), which has only published the Cap Marvel adventures of the 70's (The beginning of DC's take on the character).
Look for a book titled "Shazam: From the 40's to the 70's"

Also look into the series Justice. He appears in that, though I've only read part of it, so I don't know how heavily he appears. But hey, the art is by Alex Ross, so its great!

Thanks,
I just read it and it was REALY good. I haven't seen the Black Adam title being sold, but I get my comics from Boarders so that might explain it. I'll definitly look for it and for the Power of Shazam! I'm realy hoping they do him the justice he is deserved in the new Crisis expansion too.
