Nice article! Thank you. These are really useful and enlightening analyses that not only help me/us understand the feats better, but also motivate me to try out different figures (e.g. I've never played Scarlet Spider and now i sooner would (and should)). Like Ghost-x, i was attracted to this feat from my discovery of it but haven't taken the time to figure it out. Also, the first figure i thought of was (like Dirtybird above) was the LE Ant-Man from Infinity Challenge -- even though it is retired.
Has Red Robin really not been mentioned yet? I know he's Unrestricted only, but:
His first click:
Incap, qualifying him for Takedown (also Stunning Blow)
Stealth, so you have to come close to hit him
Outwit, so he can outwit your Charge/HSS, forcing you to base and then push to attack
KC Team Ability, so you have to roll to base him
Super Senses, so he can make you miss your attack
and 11 attack, 3 damage to really make you regret getting in his face. Not to mention his OW for your defense, and the probable inclusion of Stunning Blow, as if you didn't have enough action tokens on you already.
He will make you regret getting close.

I think that his opening 16 defense kept him off the recommended list. I still believe that KC Red Robin was supposed to have a 17 opening defense according to a published picture of his opening stats but that is for another discussion.
I used this card in the prerelease on Green Scar and got "some use" of it. I think this is most effective on a lower point tie up piece.
It also has some real FF wildcard abuse possibilities. I want to break out my Vet Sandman and play him with Sue Storm. Sandman has plasiticity and incapacitate for most of his dial.
I'm thinking Allen the Alien would be a nice figure for takedown. Sure, he flies and doesn't have stealth so people could possibly just shoot him, but he has opening Incap followed by Plasticity, and he has CR with a 17 on his opening click. If you Merc him on a bat-family team he'd be evil. But then, I like Allen a lot.
Edit: man, I always forget parts of Mercenary. You'd need an expensive Batman with Allen (maybe taxied by Allen) to make Merc work. *sigh*
