Oh now thats harsh, on Superman Returns I mean, not S4 here (as I loved SR, and thought it couldnt have been done too much better really). As for Supermans last 80s epic, and his Quest For Peace, well I think Chris had great intentions with this film, though they unfortunately didnt pan out very well in the end. Nuclear Man was OK I guess, showing off Lex's scientific genius in creating a clone of Superman (which originally was supposed to be Bizarro, I believe), but having him acquire yet another sub standard buffoon of a henchmen lowers his IQ back down for me. Superman moving the moon and using his I Can Put The Great Wall Of China Back Together vision was a bit too much, not to mention the over using of stock Superman flying footage. Overall the worst of the 80s Superman films, though if youre a Fan......eh, you probably still wont like it.
Superman IV: The Quest For Peace - 6 / 10 (and Im probably adding 5 points for Chris Reeves last portrayal of this iconic movie character)

Ugh, I was dreading the day this film was going to be up for rating. First off, props for the late Mr. Reeves for writing a movie with a message, this one being nuclear weapons can suck. That being said, one thing I really enjoyed about this movie was the introduction of a love interest for Clark. Not that he was interested but the scene with the dinner at the hotel with Clark/Supes, Lois and Hemingway's character was pretty fun. Thank god for superspeed and above else, a pair of glasses. Other than that, too many things wrong. It was good Lex showed some noggin to create a superman clone but it should have been Bizarro. Nuclear Man blows, I mean his ultimate power against Supes was long, radioactive fingernails!? And DTM, you beat me to that quirky new power of his. What were they smoking? Although, I wouldn't mind having it. And what about the incredibly large net hanging outside earth who's sole purpose is to be packed with about, 90 nuclear missles, and hurled to the sun. Hmm, maybe he used his " I can put the Great Wall of China back together vision" and turned it to " I going to reinforce these mile long steel cables of peace into an planet saving fishing net of justice." Oh, and Lex should have ordered that Duran Duran reject to dismember that annoying nephew of his. Gggrrrruuussssfraba.
4/10. I'd like to be mindwiped of this film. But my thanks for Christopher Reeves of bringing the Man of Steel to us on the big screen.
Its not a solid movie and John Cryer is annoying as all hell, but it's still better than the trainwreck that is Superman 3. I enjoyed the love "rectangle?" between Lois, Clark, Supes, and whatever the hell her name is. Its fun. It has an actual superpowered bad guy, even if he's not that interesting.
