Apparently Lord Havok had a contigency plan ready and just before Monarch went BOOM he and the Extremists teleported onto Monarch's ship (at least I think it was Monarch's) and are now dedicated to bringing order to the other Earths of the Multiverse.

I have to agree with this. I haven't hated Countdown for the most part. But the last two issues just seem to be phoning it in... I don't like not having any dialogue and instead just having a narrator. It really just seems like they know they're near the end and they want to wrap everything up and move on.
