i know someone out here can help me with this...sicne someone brought up the Heroclix you'd want to see but will never get made thread in rumor mill, i've been tearing my sources apart trying to remember the name of a shrot lived, probably mini series that ran in the Eighties for DC. It was a "hero for hire" style comic with thrid rate heroes...i can't remember any details positively but i remember they were all really, really lousy.
It was sort of a 911 for heroes...Hero Hotline? I can't remember, please help!!!
I think there was a third shifter named the sponge...anyone able to help? pretty please?
hero hotline was indeed the name of a 6 issue mini-series that DC put out in the 80's.
It featured a character named Mr. Muscles, a chick with diamond sharp hands, some guy that shot flame outta his hands...
and yeah it was pretty lousy...
Found it, it's wonderful what internet search engines can do.

Other than the fact that he worked the night shift, I found no information about Zeep the Living Sponge. But that's a great name, and I'd love to find a picture somewhere.
Zeep the living sponge WAS a member of Hero Hotline (or was involved in the mini somewhere, I remeber him from an issue I have OR the Whos Who entry, not sure which), but his origins are from Dial "H" for hero, as he was one of the forms that I beleave both chris King, and the original dial fella turned into....
