Because this is the only place Groovy, Gacy, Charlie, Dave and Roland post. I won't see most of them until August at GenCon so I get on here from time-to-rare-time to see what they are up to. Every once in awhile I will stumble across a comic book-related topic that sparks my interest here and feel I have to give my two cents.

I may not like Heroclix, but I like comics. And, thanks to Luke, I'm actually starting to recognize writers and artists by seeing them and reading thier stuff. And, that means I will stick up for the ones I have met when they are being bad-mouthed.

Ro_Gan has a babe? When did this happen? And, does she dress-up like Storm or Jean Grey to turn his affections toward her?
Or, by "Babe", do you mean it like the movie, "Babe" the pig?

I kinda miss Ro.

That's actually commendable that you stick up for people you respect. However, I think the criticisms on Dan Didio isn't criticisms on him as a person, but his editorial choices, and how he handles everything. This is where fanboys like all of us come together and trash talk about how he's handling everything in DC. If we weren't so passionate about the characters we cared in the comics we read, we wouldn't go all nuts and crying for blood when Dan Didio's name is mentioned.

Personaly I would welcome the change at DC. I am tired of lame crossovers and the constant trying to change the characters and their story lines. Does Batman really need to change, isn't he one of their top grossing books? Major movie dollars? I was reading the Teen Titans the other day and thought to myself, who they heck are these characters and where are the characters I grew to love. I just canceled five books from my pulls list because the storie lines have been garbage for some time. I used to only read DC and now find myself drawn into Marvel. I am far more interested in Secret Invaision then Crisis. Its definitly time for a change, one way or another.

I have no real hate for Dan Didio (he gave Bill Willingham steady work!) but I disliked:

• The cruel treatment of the Giffen/DeMatteis Justic League (International, Europe, etc.) members. The treatment is even more pathetic when you stop to think that the JLIne-ups were essentially mandated by a different editorial fiat!
• The very peculiar treatment of the a certain generation of Heroes (Wally West, Kyle Rayner, Supergirl, etc.). I don't know if the DC team is *trying* to disrespect some readers, but that is what it feels like. (See also Suicide Squad)
• The "deconstruction" of myths like Shazam!/Captain Marvel family, The New Gods, and even the Legion of Super Heroes....why?

You....dislike all those...but don't hate Didio?
