No AST's for assisting in an assist, unfortunately

Well the use in question was allowing the shot to be made. It was removing the object so that stealth couldn't be used. Without that, the shot could not have been made. So, yes, i think thats an assist.

While I agree with the reasoning, per league policy I believe this is not an AST. In my "ultimate" league match, I had the hooker perplex hydroman's damage to 3, so that hydroman could bash the object from under mastermind, so that bullseye could shoot mastermind.

I was told by Tanis (who knows much more about stats issues than I) that only hydroman gets the AST for bashing the object. Though hydro could not have done it without the hooker's plex, she still was not awarded the AST, cause you can't get an AST for ASTing an AST.

Outwit had nothing to do with the shot fired. He outwitted shapechange. The rationale i'm getting from you and Melk, is that had Black Tom not used outwit, Polaris would have been granted an AST.

So you're saying had this been the case:

Polaris moves object.
Whomever attacks, succeeds.

That's 1 AST, 1 SA.

But:
Polaris movies object, allows LoS for attacks.
Black Tom outwits Shapechange, making it easier to attack.
Whomever attacks, hits.

Is not 2 ASTs, 1 SA.

According to you, then:

There is a wall in the way of my 2 damage ranged piece, my 3 damage ranged piece, my outwitted, and the opposing Invulnerable figure. No one has LoS to opposing figure due to the wall. 3 damage attacks the wall, destroys it. Outwitter outwits invulnerable, allowing the 2 damager to do damage.

The original wall destroyer would be granted no AST, because they ASTed an AST, even though the attack would not have been able to have been made, had the wall been destroyed, which is a direct assist.

...and re-reading what had happened, I missed that it was Ahab who had made the hit, and he could have shot him regardless of the object or not.

But my point remains. Had Sunfire hit, it would've been an AST for Polaris.
