HCR Rates The Movies #199: THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY
So, our next film, Classic or Crud, Hit or Miss, what say you ALL?
Our next film open for discussion, and ultimately an Overall RATING by you all:
THE GOOD, THE BAD
AND THE UGLY
Let the discussions flow. Likes, dislikes, classic film or overhyped trash, and DONT FORGET to place an Overall Rating when youre done.
Its easy, just give a Rating from 1 (Jaws 4:The Revenge) to 10 (Jaws), and thats it. Course I'd love to have you all give reasons as to why you feel it deserves this Overall Rating, and more than encourage discussions with us all about them.
So, what say you all?
Next Film: ??????

HCR Rates The Movies Is Back! Come and share your thoughts on a TON of films, new and old! Our latest movie - BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
Holy squints Batman!
This an incredible movie. There is not one scene you can take out to shorten the flick. Clint at his squintiest, Tuco at his most vile and despiciple (sic), Angel Eyes at his most villainous? the music score is iconic and the scenery is a part of the movie. Fantastic.
10 baby!

Yes, but you're a surrealist! I'm a normal guy!
Gil Zoo Crew or bust!
Welll apparently only Mjolnir has seen this one, so its one the verge of getting a Perfect 10 score, based solely off his review alone (kinda like how apparently none of us have seen Gone With The Wind, with the exception of one member here, who gave it a less than Classic score)

Without a doubt, this is the best movie in the "Man with No Name" trilogy. The trio of Eastwood, Wallach and Cleef(sp?) is really something to behold. The story unfolds well, the acting is top notch, loads of fun action, some pretty humorous scenes to boot and the score is really awesome. Kudos to Quentin Tarantino for including it in his "Kill Bill" movies, it definitely gave me a sense of nostalgia. I first viewed this film when I was 7 and to this day, I still can't praise it enough. Just for kicks, my mom who has viewed a total of 20 movies in her lifetime, is just completely smitten with it. Especially Wallach's character, Tuco; likes the way he was just so greedy and unscrupolous(sp).
10/10. Plain and simple, one of my all-time favorie movies from one of my all-time favorite movie franchises.
Best of the series to be sure, but hardly a 10/10. I give it an 8/10. I enjoy watching it, and it has a lot of memorable lines. However, it is still a spagetti western, making it not quite as good as the American ones it's imitating.
"Un-fun Dad, un-fun Dad,
He's so bad, he mak'a me mad
Un-fun Dad, un-fun Dad
He's a real cad, Un-fun Dad"
I like it a lot, certainly the best of the Spaghetti Westerns (largely because there isn't an exact and far superior Kurasawa counterpart). This is the ultimate cowboy opera and it deserves its reputation as a great film.
