A reason for this besides people would buy it, is the Dennys Diner crowd. Back when I was a server their theyd show up to play Dnd and Vampire. Only problem was that sometimes the manger on duty would put a stop to it because the dice rolling would always not only distract but make them think theyre gambling. This would put an end to it.
If there's one thing D and D players need besides their chair to sit in, it's fatty foods from Denny's!

I'd be fine allowing someone to use the dice application. If someone has such a low amount of self-esteem that they need to use loaded dice to cheat when playing a friendly board game, they need that feeling of winning more than I do.
As a side note, has anyone ever caught (not just suspected) another Heroclix player was using loaded dice at a local event? I personally have never caught anyone doing it. I've always thought it was a bit of an urban legend; a problem that was potentially out there, but was overhyped. Maybe I'm just naive, though.

I did once. I was playing a fairly big-deal local tourney, and I was using the old Atom (20 D with Stealth). My opponent took one look, sent out his Black Adam and crit hit (and did not seem surprised at all). A couple of things seemed off-- the lack of surprise, the way the dice rolled, and the fact that he fumbled with his dice before making the roll (the first roll of the game). So I asked him is I could see his dice, and rolled a few boxcars and called the judge. Afterwards, he was short-clicking Black Adam as well, but I didn't even bother mentioning it, as I thought we were out of the running for any prizes and I just wanted the game to be over. The judge (his first time!) told me later he should have DQed him on the spot, but he was a little taken aback. Having become a judge since then, I completely understand.
I've seen those dice he used for sale since then-- they are black wooden dice with shiny silver pips that are decals.
It's gone through a vetting process to get onto the Apple App store, which is an entirely closed system so there's no way to 'load' the dice. The only way to get the app on the iPhone is through Apple.
An iPhone developer could write a duplicate application and only deploy it onto their personal iPhone and not even have to deal with the App Store.
Not that anyone who plays HeroClix is a programmer or anything...

There are two rules to success in life:
1. Don't tell people everything you know.
2.
if you were writing a cheating program for an iPhone, and were a programmer, hopefully you would also be smart enough to have a specific touch sequence or series of movements on the accelerometer on the phone that would turn on the hot dice rolls for a specific number of rolls thereby making it nearly impossible to catch them. you could also program in some randomness like 10's 11's & 12's to throw off suspicion.
With loaded dice you have a much higher chance of being caught.
It's just like the loosers who go out to a paintball feild with a cheater board in the gun. I'm not seeing how cheating at a game can give someone a feeling of accomplishment.
I have no idea. Interesting question. I guess I am so naive I didn't know you could buy loaded dice. I don't understand the whole cheating to win thing. I mean in the end does it really feel like you have won?
