A. Darkseid will get the Antilife Equation and enslave the universe DC has set this in stone it will happen along with The Black Hand he's going to found the Black Lantern Corps.
B.The whole business with The League is what Bruce will be up to while the world thinks both he and Batman are dead. No one but Dick Grayson and Alfred will know he's been secretly placed in a Lazarus Pit so it's not his death that will tie in to Blackest Night but reason for his resurrection. It would be awesome seeing look on Darkseid's face when he realizes one of Earth's greatest strategists a man he counted on as being dead Batman is now The Demons Head. Leader of Earth's most powerful assassins guild Darkseid will never see it coming and it's why in the end Darkseid will loose. The most important thing to remember is at the end of RIP there will be a new Batman to fill the void and on the surface it will appear as though Bruce is actually dead. Some will see this as a rehash of what they did with the whole Death, Reign of the, and finally Return of Superman. It was only the best selling arc in the history of the business and it's been close to fifteen years since it happened. So now it's Batman's turn to die then have some else be him for a while oh and why do you think the story is called In Blackest Night because it's code for DARK KNIGHT there you see it signals Bruce's return.

Its called Blackest Night because of the Green Lantern oath and the prophesy that goes with it. It is about 7 different Corps going to war, leading to the Blackest Night, which the Gaurdians see as the end of the world. While in the past, the word blackest has been swapped for darkest to avoid controversy, that isn't the case here. That story is the terf of Jones, not Morrison. I have some serious doubt that he would let Morrison dictate something like that.
