What was your favorite Wizkids organized play tourney????
just simple,
which Set tournement did you enjoy best?????
(ie: Crisis, Avengers, M&M, I. C.)
&
which had the best prizes?? (LE figs ,cardboard & event dials)
I personally have only played in Supernova, Avengers, Crisis, & now S. I.
So I would have to say Crisis was my favorite. I guess because we had the biggest turnout at my venue!!! & the varied point value each week!
Best Prizes I would have to say would be in a tournament i did not have a chance to play in! that would be Mutations & Monsters with prizes like (Warbound, Protected, Esme, Proteus,Xavier,Hulk its just Incredible (no pun intended))
I really liked the Civil War event from about a year and a half ago. this could be on account of the fact that we uppped the points at my venue to allow for teams that consisted of more than just Iron Man/Cap and a couple support pieces. We also had everyone bring two teams, one Pr-Registration, one Anti-Registration. It was quite fun seeing so many comic accurate teams before the dawn of keywords.
I liked the ones which allowed the judges the freedom to make events in the styles their players enjoyed.
But I understand that when you have a ranking system, consistency is the only way to accurately gauge these things.
Seeing as we're coming up on a full year of these force-fed scenarios without seeing a hint of a ranking system being introduced, I must stop and wonder.
There weren't a whole lot of scenarios before provided by wizkidsgames in tournament play.
The galactus series of events, starro, S.I., crisis maps.
Games where everyone knows in advance that a particular event dial will be in play in all rounds can often be quite fun (provided a good event dial is picked). The planet hulk dial is pretty fun.

I LOVED the Avengers sealed events.
Everything was fair and handy and new and exciting.
You didn't mind pulling the same thing twice because it means you knew it better while playing.
Like I pulled Ultimates Iron Man every week, but at the same time, he's an amazing figure, so he would kill most opponents.
Plus the SR chasing was more fun...pay your 25 bucks and let the games begin.
I wish they'd do that now but with an LE figure every week, you'd get to really get the most out of the set....now you don't.
Plus now it's all very cheesy.
Ace of the Secret Society of Supervillains Clan!
Yellowjacket (Human) - 100 points of P-Y-M-P - Sweet Papa Doom/BPW
I really enjoyed sealed Supernova games, but that was mainly due to character selection. Sealed Collateral Damage was also incredibly fun (mostly due to interesting dials).
