I am looking to put together some demo decks to teach my friends. I want to make them easy to get into and quick to pickup. I plan on using nothing but Common cards that I have left over from my purchases. I am looking for ideas on the following;
Which classes would make the best in a demo?
How many of each card type would be the best way to go? I want to make them larger than 30 cards, but I don't know how big is to big.
Well I suggest either printing off the demo decks from the official UDE site which can be found here or just buy 2x Starter Decks and play a face up game with them and describe whats going on.
However to answer your questions the best classes for a demo IMO would be Shaman & Paladin. This is because with Shamans they have a combination of instant casts, equipment and unique totems that's very helpful to point out to newer players. For Paladins they also have instant casts, equipments, attachable blessings, and unique seals that you should teach them. As for how many card should you have in your demo deck, I say 34 just like the demo decks from UDE.

Another good tip of demos is that it needs to be relatively short. Most people don't have a lot of time, but they do want to learn the game. So, keep it short and simple.

I'd stay away from any cards that have major healing abilities they tend to be annoying to new players. Also don't put too many elusive allies in the alliance deck, they can be frustrating to deal with for newbies.
You need one of the decks to have a couple armors and weapons. One of the decks to have pets. One of the decks should have about 4-8 allies and be ability based. The decks should be built with 75% of the cards costing 3 or less to get the game moving quickly.
