I was wondering about these 2 wpns and other dmg related effects from striking. If you attack with wraith scythe or brain hacker and the dmg is absorb by armor do the healing effects or discard effects still occour since no dmg was dealt?
I thought the answer was no because, with the ice bolt ability if dmg is not dealt due to armor the your hero can still attack
Also if flamewrath is used and blocked with armor will the 1 dmg to each hero or ally also be negated
I know for sure with Brain Hacker and Wraith you need to actually do damage to get the benefits and I would assume Flamewrath is the same thing since you have to deal damage in order to get the effect.
One thing people miss on this though is that if you do combat damage in another way with Wraith Scythe in play, say with Quick Strike or something, the weapon effects happen because it doesn't name itself like Brain Hacker of Flame Wrath do. So you would heal for 2.

This is incorrect, the only time u deal COMBAT dmg is as part of combat resolution. Any damage resulting from an ability (card or creature) is not combat damage, and will not trigger effects of Flamewrath, etc. Quick strike says "melee damage" this is not the same as combat damage. The word Melee in this case is only for the purpose of identifying the damage type in case it is reference by other cards.
For example:
Aspect of the Hawk:
Ongoing: If your hero would deal ranged damage, it deals that amount of damage plus 1 instead
Multi-Shot:
Your hero deals 2 ranged damage to each of up to three target heroes and/or allies.
Multi shot gives "ranged" tag to the damage packets it would deal, hence it will be modified by Aspect of the Hawk. Regardless of when it is played (during attack step or not), it is never considered combat damage.
