I have a question about Zorm Stonefurys' ability

It reads:

"Allies in your party have +1 ATK while attacking"

We were play this as you got the bonus when you ally attacked, but not when you defend, is this right? Or should they always get the bonus?


Also Lt Commander Dudefellas' ablitiy reads:

"Dudefella deals 1 frost damage to target hero or ally. A character dealt damage this way can't attack this turn."

Can this be used to stop defenders returning damage when attacked.

I assume that abblities on allies can be used as if they are instant abblities.

Zorn says they get +1 attack while attacking only, not while they are defending. Even though allies deal damage back, they are still considered defending, so they do not get the bonus. Same rule applies to Dudefella. He stops them from attacking, not defending. They still deal their damage while they defend.
