Simple question...can you use the quest, Inoculation, to put a totem back into your hand. Since totems are treated like allies, I figured that it would be a yes but what got me is that inoculation doesn't say 'target' ally. So if someone could shed some light on this for me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I don't think that totems can be targeted like allies when they leave the field(ie in the graveyard). I'm pretty sure its cause the text box is inactive on cards that aren't in play except those that reference out of play areas.

Like I'm pretty sure you can't Chasing Amy01 out a totem.

Innoculation returns an ally you control who's currently on the field to your hand. However, it does not "target", and therefore cannot return a totem.
