I have looked at building a deck for my first time and have an idea of cards that I'll be using, but what I am wondering is how do you all test out your decks when your at home? Is there a method of some sort of solitaire way of doing it?
I have been laying out the cards in order of cost and filling in the gaps to make sure I have stuff to play on every turn so far, but I have not played any of the decks I've built.
How do you all do it aside from actually playing the deck?
its impossible to test your deck in wow without an opponent unless youre playing a combo deck cus from what every1 plays if you were to play a combo deck you'd be playing by yourself anyways
While that is true to a certain point Thug, I find the best way to test is with Magic Workstation. You can build multiple decks to test against and revisions/modifications are easy to make. if you register it ($20, I think) there is a solitare mode that i find very handy.
It is obviously not as good as live opponents but it does give you a feel for you curve and the decks weaknesses and so forth.

Magic Workstation works with WoW too?
I tried playing 2 of the starter decks solo last night and that worked out ok. I just took each hand and played it as if I didnt know what the other hand was. It's not perfect but it did give me a sense of how the decks were playing.
Yeah, I am not sure where I downloaded the wow patch. Just do a search in google and I am sure you will find it. It does work for Wow, Vs, MTG and others. Just what ever game people took the time to make a patch for.
Well... you could test two decks against each other.
Sure, it's not as good as playing another person, but practice and experience are very useful. Being able to see the other's hand can also be somewhat useful.
I find it useful to just shuffle and draw hands. Sometimes it can be difficult to predict when to mulligan and not against different decks.
There's a lot you can do without another person, but at the same time you're missing out on a lot when not playing against an opponent. Obviously, that's the best way.
Overall, it's tough not to do anything but playtest/draw hands.
