Looking at my card collection when I saw Seraph the Exalted, he could let you double turn 7. Well for alliance thats not very powerful. Of course, then i saw Diplomacy. With diplomacy you could play Seraph on turn 5, and have two turn 7 allies at the same time turn 6. Of course, i was looking at the classes to see which human would be best for the stall to 5. I decided on the mage. My initial testing that an inexperienced player will go after the big guys and an experienced player will go after seraph but either way, they are pretty much screwed. I was just looking for some collaboration trying to get the list to work, or even some feed back on whether you think the strategy would work. Whats better, counter, allies, whats your ideas.
Diplomacy doesn't change the cost of cards. You can't put a 7 cost card into play on turn 6 with Seraph. Diplomacy only lets you, "You pay 1 less to play allies, to a minimum of 1."
Also Seraph costs 5. With Diplomacy in play you could drop her on turn 4, but now you spent turn 3 on Diplomacy so how are you going to protect Seraph from being attacked by a 3/2 and finished off with burn?
That is a point to consider. Protecting the Seraph is difficult. Have you thought about From the Shadows to make all your allies elusive then coupling it with Sentry Gwyn for an elusive board? That should give you time to draw your key components for the Seraph and keep her safe. Worth a try.
1) You've won anyway.
2) Seraph is smaller than Lady Kath; and with both less power and less effect. The 4 power on Lady Kath is huge; it means 2 3/2s can't hit her without liability as happens with Seraph at times.
Seraph is powerful, but he needed his original playtest stats (2/6) to even have a chance to be played.

The best combination w/ Seraph is Breanna Greenmother.
Either you drop Seraph on 5 and hope it lives to 6... when you drop Breanna and someone w/ a good activated ability (Chromie, Primalist Naseeth, Lhurg Venomblade, etc.).
Or... on turn 6 you play Breanna and hope she lives... in which case you drop Seraph on 7 w/ say Mukla or any of the above mentioned allies.
It is potentially very powerful (I've had games that went Seraph on 5, Breanna + Chromie on 6, Chromie + Mathias Shaw on 7, Chromie + Medoc+Parvink on 8, Magni on 9... scoop?). It's just very difficult to pull off, playing so many cards to make use of Seraph means that you have very few cards to actually protect Seraph from dying.

i can't count so dont say there's more or less i know i run this deck with 62 normally. so if its too much for you, or you'd like more abilities do it! i saw a great deck like this that had a few of those nasty fade pull cards in it if it works for you do it. but this is how i play it pre-FoO. maybe some sheeps too. or that nasty slow card. i dont think theres an arcane human but that would kick arse.
notice the combo, with kath and alcolyte demia. . .WIN
seva is the healer, even though shes a one drop . . . dont use her until your about to die late game. nub move....only used her once in tourny meh shes a just in case.
notice that you can put ivus out on turn 6-7 its great that way. and yes it is possible.
and notice every turn you have another something to put out or save or take another of something. its always moving and your never out of options, until they lock you down, and you can't protect ur guys anylonger.
now this is the deck list pre-FoO... that chick that lets u use tap abilities when you com into play is needed, and maybe a few frostnovas
