Vindicator Khorin question? Saw this on the UDE forums. It wasn't being answered there so I thought I post it here and help the guy out.

Here is the situation say I have these cards and its 5th turn:

Korthas, Parvink, Jeleane, Kulvo, Merry and Vindicator Khorin on the board. I pass to my opponent and he is running a Warlock and he plays Shadowfury. How is the damage calculated or played out with Vindicator on the board?

Vindicator Khorin - Aldor reputation (Can't put scryer cards in your deck.)
If an ally in your party other than khorin would be dealt damage, it's dealt to khorin instead.

Vindicator takes all the damage (10), and if he's somehow alive after all that, he is exhausted and can't ready. Because the tap effect is reliant on them taking damage, the other guys remain untapped. All simultaneous damage effects work that way with Vindicator in play; all damage resolves at the same time.

ok so even though his health is 4 he would take all of the damage then he would die and the allies would stay alive. thanks

Yeah, even if you have the 1-health version the same thing happens, they absorb all the damage from simultaneous effects.

Ok thanks just trying to find away around the mass ally damage abilities like shadowfury and avengers shield and consecretion. so that my allies can stay alive for turn six

If you have two of the Vindicators in play do you get to decide who takes the damage or do both of them take the damage?

Yes, you get to decide who the damage redirects to
