I've been playing heroclix for about 2 years now and one thing I can never get enough of is maps. I love having all kinds of places to battle. So I've decided to start making some of my own.
I've been looking around on the Internet at custom maps others have made and I can't help but notice how utterly awesome they are and I would like to make something equally awesome.
Anyway all I have is photoshop CS2 and was wondering if there were any templates or clip art that could help me with sprucing up my creations. Namely is there any site that offers "free" clip art seeing as I don't have an overly disposable income at the moment.
Also any tips on how to make the grid, or borders for hindering, water, and blocking terrain would be helpful.
Any other tips you could give me would also be greatly appreciated.
Also if anyone else is familiar with using CS2, what should my specifications be starting out, pixel ratio etc.

Reason: added query
I grew up on PnP roleplaying (GEEK!!!) so Heroclix is just an X-tension of my youth. Me and my two boys like the idea of map making and also 3-D objects.
I'm looking for Dundjinni so i have a hard copy. We are also in the process of making:
Chemical plant silos (3x3, 2x5)
Stonehenge inspired stuff - big project using Das putty and copper wire.
Crystal tile (2x2 with a real crystal in the middle)
lamp posts, trash cans, sewer/man hole covers,
Nope, this doesn't answer your question but it means that at least one person has been reading your post
Eldest son chooses X-Men, youngest son chooses Fantastic Four...Looks like i'm playing the villians AGAIN!
I think the reason people aren't really answering is because maybe they feel they've answered this before. I suggest doing some searches in the custom map forum.
