WOLVERINE #73 - Due to a scheduling conflict, this is NOT the next installment of the "Old Man Logan" storyline. You have NOT missed #72. #73-74 are shipping out BEFORE #72 so that "Dark Wolverine" can begin on schedule with #75. Why or how they screwed up, I don't know.
Thanks for clarifying on Wolverine 72....I was about to call my comic shop to see why I missed it!
Wolverine # 73 is shipping before # 72 which sucks!
X-Factor
Secret Warriors
Ult. Spidey!

Thank SentryWill there. He mentioned it, I looked it up (to make sure I read what he said correctly) and found the notice. So, I thought I'd mention it just to clarify.
Of course, to thank SentryWill properly, you have to give him his weight in Super Pro and Wolfpack comic books. And don't skimp on the annual(s).
Dark Reign: Young Avengers #1 of 5
Story: 4/5
Art: 3/5
"Why is it so hard?! All we have to do to be heroes--is act like it!"
Meet the Dark Young Avengers...Young Dark Avengers...Young Avengers Dark...whatever.
Melter (a.k.a. Chris) wants to be a good guy, but really sucks at saving lives. Enchantress (a.k.a. Sylvie) talks in bad-sounding Asgardian speech, sleeps with Chris and actually does have magic powers. Executioner (a.k.a. Dan) is your standard lethal vigilante, except he's funded exclusively by his mom. Egghead (a.k.a. Egghead) is a powerful robot trying to understand humanity. Unfortunately, his guide is Big Zero (a.k.a. Amity), a size-changing Neo-Nazi. Finally, there's Coat of Arms (a.k.a. Don't know her real name), a sometimes six-armed swordswoman and artist who put the team together.
Basically, they're actually trying to be heroes but suck at it. Coat of Arms seems to be the most well adjusted of them. Anyway, at the end of the issue, the real Young Avengers arrive.
I like this. Good characters and fun set-up. The art seems a bit kid-ish, but it still works.
Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers #1 of 4
Story: 5/5
Art: 4/5
"I must stop lifting strange objects."
The mission: Reclaim the Infinity Gems before bad guys do. The team: The Pet Avengers!
The team is Lockjaw (the Inhuman's teleporting dog), Throg (a frog with Thor's powers), Lockheed (the X-Men's purple dragon who's broken up about Kitty Pryde's vanishing), Redwing (the Falcon's falcon who's awful high and mighty), Hairball (a.k.a. Niels, Speedball's cat with his powers) and Ms. Lion (Aunt May's dog who wants nothing but to play with Niels, despite the latter's animosity towards him) (Yes, Ms. Lion is a him).
After some funny stuff and Throg's secret origin, they arrive in the Savage Land searching for a gem. They find a T-Rex about to eat them.
Very fun and funny stuff. The artwork is solid, but not stellar. Still, it's a great debut issue.
Secret Warriors #4
Story: 3/5
Art: 5/5
Gabriel: You left us and we crashed hard. And now you just walk back in like it's old times. Well, @$#% you, colonel.
Nick: I'm hearin' that tune a lot, Gabriel. People singin' it keep forgettin' one thing: I do what I do. It's the world that's changed--I haven't. Not one bit.
Nick reunites with Dum Dum Dugan and Gabriel Jones. They and a small group of soldiers leftover from S.H.I.E.L.D. resolve to attack a H.A.M.M.E.R. base. Daisy and Druid recruit a reality-manipulating guy named Eden Fesi. J.T. and Alex find Nick Fury's stash of L.M.D.'s and Stonewall reads to Yo-Yo while she recovers. HYDRA resolves to put their mystery plan into action.
Kind of a filler issue. Nick and the Howling Commandos was fun, but besides that nothing much happened. At least Caselli's artwork is still great.
Ultimate Spider-Man #132
Story: 3/5
Art: 4/5
"I've waited so long to come to this world. To be free in this world. And you are giving me the power to do it. With every second. With every horrible thought."
The cover is very misleading. The MJ/Shadowcat fight ends with MJ winning 1-0 and Shadowcat running (or rather phasing) to the Ultimatum ground zero.
At ground zero, Hulk and Spider-Man find themselves confronted by the horrors released by the Sanctum Sanctorum's destruction; specifically, Nightmare being released. He attacks both of them, using their own horrible memories, until Hulk gets mad(der), smashes his way through the hallucinations and beats up on Nightmare. There is then a big magic purple explosion.
This was a good issue. And I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't so sick of Ultimatum. Seriously, can we just finish up and move on?
Just Hawkeye, Which was good I really like where this was going, I was gonna get suicide kings but it was sold out
Suicide Kings (#2) was pretty good, plenty of action and good Deadpool moments. Not to mention Outlaw (yummy).
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Deadpool (after losing both of his arms to a sword wielding Punisher): "Go on. You know you wanna say it."
Daredevil (after knocking Punisher out): "Thought you could use a hand."
