Is TOPPS going to support tourneys? Will they issue prizes? Who do I contact about an official, sanctioned judgeship? How do I go about getting support for a venue? Ziran! Help!

Since we don't have a release date yet, and we have nothing more than uninformative, yet "excited" posts, I wouldn't count on tourneys just yet. If they do make prize support, they will probably not care about HeroClix past the release date and I doubt that there will be any organized play.

I think that the best way to run tournaments will be to charge a small fee and use that money to buy prize boosters. Open the prize boosters at the end of the tournament, and let people "draft" prizes in the order that they placed. It's likely that a highly-valued unique will be in the prize pool, and everybody gets something - this can be great for filling gaps in your collection or picking up generics.

Ive always advoctated this idea over any 'fee' to play idea. It supports the venue and gives everyone a prize or two!

I'd love for them to send chariots with each case. I guess it'd be a Buy It By The Case promotion! At my venue, sales would be through the roof if that were in fact true.
