To help make things easier, I am also going with figs I own and have used…
5) Hercules (SI and Vet IC/tied) = for all the reasons ibeatdrew listed
4) Tombstone = surprisingly effective for only 58 points. Even though he does have a range of 6, I consider him a brick. His last 3 clicks have Plasticity, Combat Reflexes and a damage of 2 with Exploit Weakness. I was playing him against my son playing Mutations and Monsters Mimic and Tombstone took him out
3) FF Starter Thing = for all the reasons gudda listed
2) Power Man and Iron Fist duo = debated about classifying them as brick; they seem a little too “fancy” but everything about them is geared towards throwing them into a middle of a brawl and letting them cut loose. Damage stays at 3 for their entire 8 clicks and 4 of those have Exploit Weakness; Indomitable lets them keep attacking; and the first 5 clicks are 10 or above finally dropping to 9 for the last 3
1) Green Scar = just like a brick; if you are in position to hit someone with it, they’re going down
Another character that looks like a brick: Charcoal
Any word on the return of Friday Scenarios? I finally have enough free time to play some games with my sons and I haven’t seen them for the last couple of weeks. So far we’ve just been pulling random stuff we haven’t played for quite awhile. In the one game where I used Tombstone against my son’s Mimic; I also had Arkillo and She-Thing (Brute theme) and he had Avengers Bucky and Ultimate Cap. Even though Tombstone was able to take out Mimic (due to good rolls on my part and him failing his SS rolls); Mimic took out Arkillo. Ult Cap easily defeated She-Thing and then he and Bucky were able to range attack Tombstone to death.

I think gudda was right-on with the choice of the FF Starter Thing as his #1. The 100-point cost is what seals the deal on this figure. The figure should be able to get in and cause HtH havok with little more than a few points invested in Unstoppable. He doesn't really need much more than that, and contributes nicely in several other ways (with the token removal, and the nice DV for the F4 ATA).
Thanks for the tip of the hat to the "brick vs bruiser" topic.
The only reason I tried to delineate between the two is that (for me) a brick is going to mainly be a body guard for a Mastermind piece, whereas a bruiser needs to be able to dish and take damage in the middle of a fight.
So maybe I have given you another top 5? What would be your top five "sponges" for mastermind fodder (not using pogs).
Every relationship is fundamentally a power struggle, and the individual in power is whoever likes the other person less.

Coolness. I have never been a big fan of Green Scar, but he is definately a powerhouse.
We will be returning with Friday Scenarios soon. I have just been really really busy, and have had hardly had anytime to sign in.
