I'm not talking about the entire season last year I'm talking about before he got hurt. He wasn't the same when he got hurt. The stats I gave were BEFORE he got hurt. None of it matters, stats don't even sway a fanatics opion to that of being reasonable. We will see what happens - I'd make any bet that the Vikings win the division not the packers.
Kontrol - thanks for understanding what I was trying to say. It must be hard to read with green colored glasses and a big cheese hat on your head.
Uh...
First off, I'm a 16 year Steelers fan, and don't care who wins the NFC North division.
Secondly, I haven't hypothesized about the Vikings chances. At all.
Thirdly, I really didn't see the distinction you were making, until Kontrol cleared it up just now. The fact of the matter is, he's still old, he's still prone to injury, and he's still, as Kontrol said, an INT machine. Add this to his own comments of not being sure about whether or not he can still play, going back and forth between retiring and coming back...Brett Favre isn't a sure thing, and he's still a gamble come post-season.
Now, if you want to talk about Brett Favre, that's perfectly fine. You want to put words in my mouth? I'm not going to be very nice.

I am not happy he signed with the viqueens as they are tied with the cowgirls as the most evil teams in history. I get seriously conflicted when I watch a Dallas-Minnesota game as I don't for whom I should be cheering.
I am happy that he signed with the viqueens because this will only help improve the chances of the Packers in the north division.
I am happy Favre is playing football as he is one of the most talented players ever. I like to watch him play the game more than anyone else. Although I do wish he would retire to preserve the positive image of a good football player.
I am not happy that Favre is playing football because he has acted like a primadonna the last several years...but I would also like to add that Ted Thompson and the Packers organization handled this entirely wrong.
I am glad that Favre signed withthe viqueens because the "I will-I won't-I will-I won't drama is not in Wisconsin like it has for the last 10 years.
I was at the Colts/Vikings game last Friday (I was in Indy for GenCon), and I have to say... Sage looked sharp enough for me. T-Jackson looked like carp, but I think Sage + Vikings = Playoffs just fine.
Not sure what the 11th hour deal with Favre is, but I'll just take solace in the fact that this drives Packer fans insane. It's akin to Derek Jeter leaving the Yankees to sign with the Red Sox.
Like when Clemens and Wade Boggs left the Red Sox to go to the Yankees?
If you let them kill your dreams, it'll haunt you.
