Field of Dreams - Some of the best lines, and the one line that chokes this dude up every single time he watches it.
"Hey... Dad? You wanna have a catch?"
Slapshot - Met the Hanson Bros at a Pros vs. Prospects game last year.. they are still the bomb after all these years.
"How about it tonight, guys? Old time hockey?"
And who can't help themselves from laughing hysterically when Reggie Dunlop tells that McCambridge lady what he thinks of her son, lmao.... great movie.
Honorable mentions,
The Natural, Bad New Bears (Original), Rocky, Hoosiers, Bull Durham, Caddyshack.
Field of Dreams
Rudy
Bull Durham
Major League We Are Marshall
The Natural
Great pick. Most people don't give it much credit, but it's a really good (albeit sad) movie.
As a former Marshall student, it was pretty incredible seeing how well they shot this movie to capture everything that went on during that time.
*fun fact*
The scene where the firetrucks are racing down the street heading to the crash is right where our venue is.

One in the Poison.
"Nobody dreams of being a pirate." - Howard Stern
For sheer comedy, favorite one is Major League, all of them. How do you not love Bob Uecker? Just too many lines to pick out a fave, I mean every line was a zinger. Like when Sheen gives up the Slam in the season opener then hits the next guy, " Whoa, bout' time, it's 8-0." As for a non-comedy, Pride of the Yankees. Gary Cooper was just awesome.
My favorites include
Rocky I-IV
Karate Kid
The Sandlot
Little Giants
Major Leauge
Slapshot
Hoosiers
Remember The Titans
Talladega Nights (although I am on the fence on whether NASCAR is really a sport)
The Wrestler (is wrestling still considered a sport?)
Friday Night Lights (even better TV show)
Best of The Best
Victory
just to name a few. I am not a huge baseball fan so all the Kevin Costner movies did not do it for me. I also do not consider golf a sport so Caddyshack did not make my list for sport movies although it is in my top 10 comedies of all time.
It is better to keep quiet and be thought of as a fool than to say something and remove all doubt.
