Not sure where I should post this?

ok. I have been away a long time, but previously in the play by post. The battles fluff and stories and Soliquies behind them to go along with the moves of the characters in battle.

Now all I see in 95% of posts in the who moved where and what attacks they did. What happened to the fluff that always used to exist in this battles.

I used to be able to copy the text and paste it into Word and have a complete story of the battle (sort of a comic book).

Now it appears the fluff and story has been removed completely from the Play by post threads. This is really a shame.

So common, this is a Comic Game lets not forget the fluff and story, to go along with the strategy.

Check out The RPSC Threads. We always put story first.

Pretty much what he said. I think that everybody has the option of doing story posting if they want, but I see no fault in those that choose not to. RPSC, however, is an excellent choice for those who wish to, and I enjoy the fact that there is a league here whose purpose is to provide those stories with the games.

As for me, I enjoy reading story posts, to an extent. I generally just skim the really long and detailed intros, but when they are down to a few paragraphs then I read them. Also, and since I've had completely separate roleplaying experience before, I understand that some people probably get burned out writing something every time they have a turn.

Now that's what I'm talking about. I'm completely draw into the battle.

I love story posts and really miss my time in RPSC, but it is also a very time consuming process. One of the reasons I switched to SBL was that I just needed somewhere to play a game of Clix between calls at work without having to take the time out to craft a story around it. If I won the lottery tomorrow and added a few extra hours to each day, I'd be on RPSC again in no time. Those guys always have my admiration for being able to get it done.

Well see I think it is about 50/50 some people do play to story post but then their are others who just want to play a game and cant effectively sp so they just play. I think you will find that many do post just not all

Also, and keep in mind I'm still relatively new in PBP games, I probably won't SP unless my opponent is also. So I'll pretty much see if they do it, and basically join them so that they aren't stuck writing a one sided story.

Personally, I'd rather not do it, but I'll make an effort to try and keep the game as entertaining as possible for the other player.

Alright, Belive me I understand time issues. i guess when I used to post i just always made sure that the story integrated the game. The fluff IMO always let me feel like i was creating a comic during my battle.

What can I say i'm a fluff guy it's what motivates me to play in most of my games.

Not all of them have story posts in every post. If the Player who is playing with Me enjoy the story it become a really fun game. Of course some players just want to destroy the opponent or get stats, but there is players out there who enjoy the games with story posts, you just have to find the right players for enjoy the game in this way

Nothing wrong with that at all, and I hope these responses didn't make you feel the need to defend yourself. I think it's cool that here there are avenues for whichever play style you prefer, from pickup games to league style, booster leagues and RPSC.
