I'm pretty sure that this will be a very competitive tournament. Please help me build a team and also any tips and tricks for big point games would really go a long way since I'm not familiar with big point games and this is my first time to go beyond 1,000.
At 10 figs total, 2000 points, you need to average 200 points or so per figure.
I'd imagine you'd see a ton of power cosmic/fortitude/protected, so outwit might not be a priority. Perplex, however, is always useful. Outsiders might also come in handy. (?)
Sheesh. This is a tough build.
Quebbster - "'Generic' has no official definition. Ask your judge."
With no feat cap, I'd expect most figures played to be immune to basically every power (via Fort/Repulsor Shield/Power Cosmic TA/etc.) so I'd look for pieces that deal penetrating damage in other ways.
My top 3 would be:
Superboy Prime
Super-Skrull: Illuminati
Spectre
I would say Cr Darkseid, but I don't think he fits the criteria. After them I'd strongly consider Nimrod and Brainiac for their Pulse Wave and solid attack values.
I'd expect to see Thanos, Silver Surfer, E-2 and KC Supes... and I'm sure someone will feat up a Skrull Ms. Marvel.
I'd suggest saving 100 points for a Skrull Yellowjacket for Outwitting TAs from Mystics and Ultimates/Superman Allies just to maintain whatever advantages you can.
So what do you have available to you both in Figs and Feats? Is everything on the table?

1) Feated Up Apocalypse is a brutal target.
250 Apoc
25 Fortitude
8 Camouflage
6 Takedown
8 Entangle
12 Auto Regen
8 Protected
= 317 pts
this is your tie up piece
Metron is obviously the best support figure
I guess it really depends on what else you have
Psychic Blast is your friend. Most non Q/PC characters will be sporting Fortitude, but Repulsor shield is often considered a waste.

Iron River Read my wife's comic or I will say mean things about your dog.
I suckered these guys into playing: Feedback Damage
If you have all the "choice" pieces like the CJ & Leg KC pieces you may want to start there.
Toss in Ult Thor to save on points and to help ignore hindering terrain modifiers.
Since most folks will be packing Fortitude you may just want to grab all Power Cosmic & Quintessence figures. That'll save you 25pts a figure, or around 250pts. Plus you don't need to worry about Pushing damage.

yup...thats my point but for me i just have a very limited team for this tourney so i'll just bring my fun team...but of course i'll be using my 2 supes with me since i know every1 is going to do they same thing...good luck stricker and see on sat for the tourney...he he he...And best of all just try and have FUN ! ! !
Spread out.
OR Use blocking terrain and Barriers to your advantage
OR TK and base the PW character with some plasticity
OR keep that PW outwitted.
I play Nova BLast a lot with Black Bolt, and most people don't see it coming, somehow. Best bet is just to avoid it till you can knock them off of it, or to a bearable damage level. If they don't get it with a TK/Running shot right away, it can be hard to position well to land it, so hold them back with that barrier till you can land a shot.
Also, if you spread out your perplexers, you can probably outwith each range and movement by 1 and drop their effective PW radius quite a bit. Useless to Perplex down their damage, Nova Blast makes it 'unmodified'.
The Inhuman of Team Vegas,
Black Bolt of the Vegas Illuminati
The best way to get around Nova Blast is to play the Event dial "Unlimited Class Wrestling"
But until an Errata comes through to make Event Dials non-optional like BFCs that's not to good to fall back on.
The next best way is to run BFCs like Darkness & Shrunk. Anything that will limit range on pieces. An eight range PWer will be effectively cut to just figures two squares away with Shrunk in play.
Base his figs if you have now other option. Even his figures that don't have NB, try to make him damage his own figures with the attack. Have a high enough DV that if he hits your figures he'll hit his own too.
Another tactic is to play Exhaustion. Now that NBer will take three Pushing damage instead of two.

Sori no BFCs in play i would definitely go with a thwart and outwit...just in case everyone of the figs have fortitude which is what most of the players i assume would do with the No 10% feat cap. and that is what i would do as well...good luck...see sat...
