Granted, it doesn't say "opposing characterS" but I think an argument could be made. Thoughts welcome, and hopefully soon lol, the tournament is in 12 hours

I think you answered your own question. It does not say CharacterS
And multiple copies of a figure still count as multiple characters when targeting with, say, Energy Explosion or any other power.
Turning off a Batman's CCR with Outwit does not turn off the CCR of every Batman on the map, for example.
