Simple ee & armor piercing question

Simple ee & armor piercing question

OK--should know this but I forgot. Here's my example:

Storm with armor piercing uses ee to target Bizarro & Nubia who are adjacent to each other with Maxima behind them. Storm's attack hits and I get that it would hit Nubia & Bizarro.

Does the armor piercing feat effect Maxima, who wasn't the target directly but subject to the spillover damage?

Sometimes the easy answers escape us.

Armor Piercing prevents damage dealt by the character assigned the feat from being reduced below 1.

So, if the damage is dealt by the character (whether via Poison, EE, a regular attack, whatever), it will deal at least 1 click.

Since Storm is the one with both AP and EE, all characters successfully hit by her will take a click of of damage.

The reason I emphasized 'by the character' is that any damage that is dealt via a different source (say, knockback damage) would remain unaffected.

Read the rules. They do a body good!
