When certain feat cards (such as Pounce) started getting republished, my judge ruled that as long as it was still tournament legal (or in unrestricted tournaments), either card could be used, but you had to go with the wording on the card that you actually HAVE.
The Mutant Mayhem card says the character takes 1 pushing damage, but the DC Origins card says the character takes 1 unavoidable damage.
So was there any OFFICIAL ruling on this?
I've heard some people say that when the card is republished, the most recent wording replaces the previous wording, but there isn't any errata for this (at least, not that I know of) since the Mutant Mayhem set was retired...
How much can you take, and keep moving forward?
The Green Lantern Corps is DC's version of the US Marine Corps.
And the player's guide also says this:
"Any Feat cards that are published with the same name as a previous one override all of the text on the previously published card."

These are the feats that I can recall which have been changed by their reprints:
Brilliant Tactician (correcting the original unclear text)
Flashbang (significant change in effect)
Pounce (pushing damage became unavoidable damage)
Trick Shot (narrowing its use to attacks)

Both the 3 point and the 5 point version allow two completely different things.
Personally, I prefer the option to use the 5 point one.
Then again, the argument could be made that since the both different point values, then they are both different cards. Meaning, that we have 2 different cards with the same name that allow different things.

LOL! I just noticed that it is NOT mentioned in the players guide!
As far as I know, Flashbang would be the only feat that has 2 different versions at 2 different point values. It would also be the first feat,"IF" the newer 3 point version is being treated as a 'replacement' of the old 5 point, one to have a point value change.
But my suspicions are that each feat is its own unique feat.
IMO I personally hope that this card is not errated in anyway!

Reason: not in the players guide!
Officially, the new Flashbang replaces the old Flashbang, to the best of my knowledge.
I personally preferred the old Flashbang, but I admit that with some special powers currently avalable in the game it might lead to abusive combinations.

As was pointed out earlier, the Player's Guide states:
Quote
Any Feat cards that are published with the same name as a previous one override all of the text on the previously published card.
It does not indicate that the point cost needs to be the same, just the name. Therefore the new Flashbang overrides the old one.
