I know alot of players who will be using LE Green Lantern soon, so I thought I would build a {V} Manderain/ {V} Sinestro team. Sinestro stays in his starting area while Manderian mindcontrols GL into base~to~base with Sinestro. The this question came to mind:

Can I mindcontrol GL if Sinestro is on my army?

Heres what made this come to mind. When a player mind controls another figure, said figure becomes a part of the players army for the one action/movement. But it you mindcontrol an enemy who is the archenemy of a figure on your team, is that legal. I mean, you can't have archenemies on the same team at any moment. So can you mindcontrol the archenemy?

From how I understand it, when you MC someone, they aren't on your team - they're just not your enemy for the time leading up to you giving that person an action.

Since they're friendly to you (and NOT a member of your army) for such a short time, I don't think a problem.

See, you're leading yourself astray with an absolute like that. The rulebook's AE restriction---Mind Controlling an Arch Enemy has nothing to do with how you built your force, and so the AE restriction is irrelevant.
