MANIPULATE: The Chief can use Leadership. If Leadership would allow you to add an action to your action total for the turn, you can instead put a Manipulate token on the Chief's character card if there are two or fewer Manipulate tokens on the card. When another friendly character would take pushing damage, you can remove a Manipulate token from the Chief's character card and roll a d6; on a result of 3-6, the character ignores pushing damage.
Now, I'm going mad with a player (I should say THE, since it's always the same), so I want an official opinion ont his :
If I play one Chief with a bunch of other Leadership-possessing characters, and if more than one roll are successful, will I be able to put a manipulate tken and still gain an action ?
To me, all the Leadership's roll (no matter how much you have) can only give you 1 action, so Chief can only gain 1 token instead.
To him, if Chief use his SP to put a token, this Leadership roll doesn't grant you an action anymore, so the other succesful Leadership roll can grant you one.
Basically, we disagree on timing. I say we have to check every Leadership first, he says that every roll is checked separately and that Chief SP is checked with each, until resolved.
Who is right ?
Please, tell me so I can put an end to that arguing.

From the PG
"When The Chief uses Manipulate to add a token to his card it replaces all other effects of the Leadership roll"
so you would only be able to put one token on his card and not gain an extra action.
If multiple effets would occur simultaneously, then the active player decides n what order to apply them.
So the active player can roll each Leadership in whatever order he wants, one at a time. UUsually it doesn't make much difference in what order you roll for your characters' Leadership... with the exception of characters like The Chief, Mephisto, Attuma, or Namor.
However, I disagree that Manipulate would allow you to place tokens on The Chief's card for the successful use of another charater's Leadership. If you suceed in The Chief's Leadership roll, you get that choice. If you succeed in another character's Leadership roll, it's just an additional action.
But yes - if you have The Chief and some additional Leadership character, you could get both a token and an extra action on the same turn
