I had did a sealed event recently and had pulled an Ultron, I did a search on here and didn't find any suggestions on who you could team him up with to make a good, possibly 500 pt team.

Any suggestions?

the one I saw last time was pretty good - hard time to beat the team - Ultron with three M-11s and others I could not remember....I had to focus on M-11s because they were killing my team so badly. Ultron took advantage of that. so M-11s are excellent, due to high 18 defense, willpower, regen, and psy blast.

Throw in a Vet Red Tornado and let all kinds of crazy be unleashed.

Ultron is good with just about anything. You can play him as a ranged sniper, paring him with a bunch of tie up pieces, or you can use him as a close combat beast (with haymaker) with a little ranged support, plus Robots themselves have a lot of flexibility.

I like using M-11 too, just because his power to points ratio is absolutely ridiculous.

You can tweak it a bit, taking out a doombot here, adding a Phalanx if you want, But these figs are the core of a downright nasty team. The sentinel Trooper giving all the doombots the shield TA is ridiculous. 2x enhancement plus 5x shield? Downright ugly, man...

eta: the team is only 468, leaving you plenty of room for feats and modifications...

I have had good times with Ultron, Red Tornado, Danger, and M-11(usually two), and Mercury(enough to fill out point levels) and then feat up as needed. And don't forget your old buddy with the Harpoon Ahab, as he is a great robot sniper.(haymaker and Nova Blast are Ultron's Best Friends along with Auto Regen)

I just got my Ultron yesterday (good bye 40 bucks) and a chase Thorbuster (good bye another 40 bucks, but a hell of a steal). I've got a pile of Phalanx soldiers ready to go with him and maybe Annihilus if I can find someone who wants to build a Guardians of the Galaxy team.

I built a team using Ultron and Skull-Brother, one of only a few robots that start out with perplex. It was devastating. Add in some M-11's and Phalanx Soldiers and you should be good to go.

And it's a theme team. FTW.

If we're talking "Robot" theme, there are plenty of options. Collateral Damage Red Tornado (any) is very helpful with TK. M-11's make good second attackers. OMAC's are what the Phalanx soldiers should have been and good for the points. Doombots, Spider-slayer, and other low-point robots make for good support, tie-up, and even mastermind fodder.

You also should feat Ultron well, i.e. Nova Blast, Haymaker, automatic regeneration... many possibilities.

Looking back, they should have had a minion power on those Phalanx soldiers when you ran them with Ultron, since the sculpt reflects Annihilation: Conquest anyways.

E Mandroid Armor for TK

If you want to go this route, Ultron, M-11 and Vet Red Tornado come to exactly 300 points...

Ultron with compel. Just think about it. Then laugh.

When it comes to robot teams don't over look mercury. Mercury is a great tie up piece. Box is good for a brick/perplexer.
