Can my con artist perplex my hulk to have 1 range even though he's a fig that has no range to start with?

Also, can you perplex the a fig's range when they are using super strength to toss an object or Tk something? ie can you make fig throw a dumpster 4 instead of 3 or magneto tk a character 11 spaces away instead of 10?

1. Yes, Perplex can increase a 0 range. A range of 1, however, will not often be useful; it has uses, but for the most part you would want a range of 2, requiring 2 Perplexes.

2. No; you can only Perplex the figure's printed range, which is irrelevant for a Super Strength or TK attack. You cannot Perplex a value which appears only on the PAC. Keep in mind, by the by, that a heavy object's thrown range is already 4.

Yeah sadly there is no rule against perplexing a 0 range up. I guess the only explanation in the case of the hulk is he spit a super-loogie doing 3 damage at 1 range.
