Marvel Comics Releases For The Week Of 03/28/2010 - 04/03/2010
:cross-eye
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #627 - Something Can Stop The Juggernaut - Roger Stern pits Spider-man against an unknown force that is capable of putting the Juggernaut down for the count.
CLOAK AND DAGGER #1 - One Shot - They've quit Osborn's Dark Avengers and now our heroes struggle to find their place among the mutants of Utopia. Possibly as a circus act.
DARK WOLVERINE #84 - The Fates attempted to get Daken to be their harbinger of a new Ragnarok by showing him his greatest desire. Failing that, they will now show him his greatest fear, pictures of him as a baby.
FANTASTIC FOUR #577 - The FF travel to the Inhumans' abandoned home on the blue area of the moon and make discoveries that the Inhumans themselves may not have known. That they were all better off there then where they are now.
NEW MUTANTS #11 - Dani Moonstar helped turn the tide against the Dark Avengers in the Utopia storyline, but it didn't come without a price. Hela is about to put Dani to work as a Valkyrie on the fields and in the restrooms of the Siege. And if she's good at it, Hela may give her a toothbrush to use.
PUNISHER #15 - Franken-Castle - Franken-Castle versus Nazi zombies. I'm not making that up.
WOLVERINE ORIGINS #46 - Before the final assault on Romulus, Wolverine must revisit one of the darkest chapters in his life, the loss of Mariko Yashida.
X-FORCE #25 - X Necrosha - X-force must complete their mission and eliminate the Black Queen, but, with Selene at the height of her power, doing so may cost them dearly. And who will be the white Lant...er... wrong universe.
X-MEN - Second Coming #1 - As Bastion strikes, Hope will be proven to either be mutantkind's savior or destroyer by crossing Bastion's picket line.
Whoa. I might get that She-Hulk thing as well, depending on what that is.
"She-Hulk Sensational" is a special one-shot with two new stories and one old story.
John Byrne wrote the old story. Peter David wrote one of the new ones and Brian Reed wrote the other.
I think it should be said that Roger Stern still writes great Spider-Man stories. This Juggernaut story looks pretty great so far, and Spider-Man taking on Captain Universe seems like a nice way of elevating things. Hopefully it won't just be like that time he beat Firelord.
I also really like how Medusa has changed in Realm of Kings: Inhumans. Probably best shown by her beating down Gorgon for daring to question her in front of the royal family. I haven't really been interested in Medusa since Beyond! so I'm glad she's getting some new growth.

What it turned out to be was pretty good 30th anniversary issue, from what I read. I initially just bought it as an impulse buy powered by picking up two weeks worth of comics, which I later regretted (thanks to the price and the fact that I've really never bought anything for her before) until I actually read it. Part 1 was a fun 4th wall breaking Christmas Carol spoof (of which they blatantly admit as much) with Stan Lee making an appearance (I can only guess, but I think Dan has a cameo too, based on who I think he is getting Iron Man's autograph) and just a lot of sillyness. Part 2 is a team up between She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Spider Woman set pre-Secret Invasion (which while not as fun as part 1, was still a good read). Part 3 was the reprint, which I didn't bother with too much.
