Ok, here's a question I have.

With the PAC's and the FAQ's, are the judges required to follow the FAQ rulings? Or are those items simply available to the discretion of the judges at a venue?

For example:

Our judge ruled that I can't BOTH taxi with V Torch and do a RS in the same action (I only moved five squares with V Torch during this)

- and later -

The judge ruled that I couldn't use V Torch to do a ranged attack when b2b with another fig (while hovering and not in b2b with any other fig.

There are suppose to do whats in the FAQ's unless they have some house rule. Which they should say before the match.

whoa, that s totally wrong...you CAN taxi while doing a RS just as long as you drop whoever off at the end of the RS's movement and you CAN still use ANY ranged combat against any based figures, grounded or hovering. as per the rulebook, hovering characters can still use their ranged combat skills against another grounded figure or hovering figure in base contact. i d suggest you tell those judges to re-check their creditenials or turn in their badges

He also said a fig cannot Perplex itself. I'll defnitely have to have a talk with him over all of this while showing him the new FAQ's. Thanks for the replies.

what s this judge of yours on? crack? that s one of the most inane rulings i ve ever heard...cant perplex oneself's stats up?! whoo...naturally, it wouldnt make sense to perplex defense, but you are very well within your rights to perplex your own speed, attack, damage, and EVEN range!

perplex as per se the PAC:

once during your turn, THIS character may add or subtract 1 to any combat value for ANY character.

this includes the perplexer him/herself!

LOL, glad to see someone else as frustrated about his rulings as I am! This is going to be a very interesting weekend when I talk to him.
